Samurai Shampoo

Well, here I am again…bored and it’s Christmas Halloween…One more anime review people!

It’s Samurai  Shampoo Champloo!

Samurai Champoo, it’s a short anime, 24 episodes, that have action, comedy, alcohol, sex scenes, gambling, Jazz and Rap soundtrack, and mutilations!, what a perfect anime, right?

There’s a Manga also, but the ending is a bit different from the anime.

Also, did you notice that Mugen looks like that guy from Cowboy Beebop?well, same author

The plot can be a little weird, but there it goes:

Fuu (the pink kimono girl) is a young teenager yet, 15 years old, who used to work on a pub, then, the governor’s son came; she accidentally drops tea on his “pants” (there are no pants in japan in that epoch), shit hit the fan, Mugen (the red clothes dude) saves her from death (romantic?no, believe it, NO), but, meanwhile, Jin (blue dude) just killed 3 of the best governor’s bodyguards easily, and went to the pub, in time to encounter and engage in battle with Mugen, both fight like ninjas (lol, they are samurais), but when a guy who lost his hand in the battle with Mugen burn the place to ashes with both Samurais in, they are knocked out and wake up in the prison, being tortured and going to the death sentence.When time comes, Fuu use some bombs (?) to help  them escape from the death, shit hit the fan again, she toss a coin, one face they may leave and kill each other or whatever they want to, the other face they have to follow her in her quest to find the Samurai who smells sunflowers (does sunflowers have a smell? o_o).

The anime have a Jazz and Rap as soundtracks, which fits really good in some fight scenes.

A bit about the characters:

Mugen: Age 20, crazy and hyperactive samurai, always looking for a good fight, money and food.

He’s actually from Okinawa (still being Japan though), and was a thief or something like this, he wears a red jacket, with some shorts, and wooden shoes with metal plates on it for last defence way.He fights in some cool weird way, dancing break and spinning like a Beyblade (sorry for that). He’s the most lazy, yet the most hyperactive, cool eh?

Next we have…

Jin: Age 20, quiet, yet short tempered.Not much different from Mugen, looking for food, money, shelter and fight (not in that order).He has a dark past, that he killed he’s Dojo Master and ran away, being chased by that Dojo’s students.He wears a blue kimono, “ponytail” and a pair of glasses, which wasn’t even invented on the epoch!.In a fight, he’s extreme accurate and cold, ending the fight as quick as possible, but never run from a fight by the way.

Last and not less important…

Fuu: Teenage 15 years old girl, who travel japan with 2 crazy asses Samurais…no lolicon involved though.She really don’t fight, but carry a knife and a mystical flying squirrel (what?) with her.She likes gambling and it’s good on it, she also, is good on a “eat till you explode” competition.She’s not the stupid screaming girl, but leave the fight for the two samurais…

Also, one of the last episodes, they play BASEBALL or something like this…

Well, I watched, liked and recommend it for those who wants comedy, action, jazz, rap and gambling anime…it’s up to you know to decide.

Uzumaki, The Shit Bricks Manga

If you thought I was talking about naruto, you can go fuck your self because I’m gonna talk about a MATURE MANGA (unfortunately, no hentai)…

At first you think it looks old japanese crap horror story…but to say the truth, you’ll shit brick my friend…

The story is about a little city (in japan, duh), that is under a “spiral invasion”…no, its not aliens killing people, but supernatural events that somehow the spirals have something to do with…

Our protagonist, Kirie Goshima, is a high school girl that lives a normal life, until her boyfriend’s (Shuichi Saito) father dies in a…REALLY WEIRD WAY, no kidding…Then, weird events start to take over the city (death related), such as this one:

That will give you a terrible headache ma'am

This, my friend…is the most light scene you’ll see…

Like, a boy gets ran over by a car, and his corpse got stuck in the wheels, making his body twist in a spiral

Ouch...

The Manga has only 3 volumes, I have all of them (behold), and I say…you’ll shit bricks…
